jotunn, aesir

as the story goes, loki is the offspring of an aesir mother (laufey) and jotunn father (fárbauti) and is well known for his trickster abilities - though loki would say he's more of a storyteller than anything else. or just a interesting character in a set of tales, were he feeling melodramatic. but that is part of who he is - an everchanging human creation, a myth that morphs and shifts with time.

BIOGRAPHY

loki lived with the aesir for the majority of his life - getting up to various mischief and bedding several people (as one does). until he fucked up.

well - it was a series of mistakes, but suprisingly no one wants to listen to you when you kill odin's son. and so he was punished - doomed to have his poor face continually burned for all time... at least when the bucket got full and his wife had to remove it to dump out the snake's ever dripping poison. and worst of all, his bindings were made from the intestines of his own children (who had nothing to do with his crimes). thankfully he was later saved by the underworldian fates (for reasons unbeknownst to him). they didn't fully trust him though, so he was given a snake created from half of morningstar's forked tongue.

loki now lives in jotunnhiel with his wife, free to get up to mischief (though only the harmless sort...).

he certainly has a way with words, in a manner akin to giving medicine to an animal. he knows exactly how to deliver the sting, that hypocritic asshole.

he was such a good friend of mine, once upon a time. but he betrayed me. or at least that's what i tell the rest of them. but it was necessary, to prepare for the end when it happens.

i admire his cunning. such a shame they locked him away. at least we could remove him - he is useful, after all.
