as demon essentially encompasses all the sentient non-divine underworld species, the term "high demon" is used to specifically describe the most direct descendants of the saelvu, the species from which nearly all species in the underworld descend from. in contrast, mandee's elf lineage, like all elves, is much more mixed with human dna.
for the final piece of the species puzzle - which comes from her father's side - the jotnar are descended both from the saelvu and the niamenyu of aguae-lem, who crossed paths when a group of niamenyu fell through the (now defunct) waterfall portal connecting the realms into the underworld. the jotnar are, like in norse myth, frost giants. they are most similar in appearance to high demons, though have typically greyer skin and are taller (on average 6'8 compared to the high demon average of 6'0).

my best friend is so fucking based. i love our monthly "hang out and smoke weed" sessions. also whenever she drags me to her raves. those are always fun.
she's cool. despite her general vibe, she's actually really hardworking - she got a full ride to college entirely based on her grades.
mandee's chill, i like hanging out with her. considering the drug thing though, it's probably good that i'm friends with her, because while she isn't stupid or anything or anything, she is a kid and therefore a bit naive when it comes to that kind of stuff sometimes. I introduced her to a lot of good harm reduction stuff she probably wouldn't have known about otherwise.
